Eggleston is widely considered a master of his artistic craft. A devotee of the dye-transfer print process, he’s credited with driving the acceptance of color phography in major museum collections, inspiring everyone from David Lynch to Juergen Teller, and it’s said he never crops his photo. Whatever his mythology, Eggleston has a knack for elucidating the extraordinary in ordinary Americana—diners, Dr. Pepper machines, and backyard barbecues. This new exhibition features work by Eggleston and his contemporaries.
