About
No one can deny that Jackson Pollock and Vincent van Gogh were game-changers in their respective artistic movements. But what else do the two have in common? Ace biographers Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith, authors of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Jackson Pollock, will tell us. The duo recently published a thorough look at the life of van Gogh, a notoriously troubled genius who chopped off his own ear and painted pictures of sunflowers and starry night skies. They’ll discuss both artists and tell us about their common ties during this special event, part of the museum’s Arts & Letters Live series.
