Despite a three year hiatus there in the middle, this group of San Francisco natives have been plying their craft—strangely catchy, pretty-close-to-love songs—since the late '90s. Lead singer Pat Monahan has a pretty distinctive voice, and repeated listenings of early hits such as "Meet Virginia" and "Drops of Jupiter" was all we needed to be able to recognize the group's radio resurgence with 2009's "Hey, Soul Sister." We really like that song, if we don't think too hard about some of the lyrics. This particular tour is in support of their latest record, 2012's California 37, and also features the band The Script and Gavin Degraw, who's still struggling to overcome the stigma of being the guy who wrote that insufferable One Tree Hill theme song.
