A partnership between the AT&T Performing Arts Center and Shakespeare Dallas has promised us staged readings of Willie Shakespeare’s complete works over the next five years. This month, you’ll experience The Taming of the Shrew, the Bard's romantic comedy of courtship, crossed wires, and mistaken identities. Kate, the "shrew" of the title, is stubborn and obstinate. Petruchio, her suitor, vows to tame her. There's a complicated subplot concerning Kate's much more desirable sister. And if the story sounds familiar, keep in mind that this play was the inspiration for Ten Things I Hate About You.
