About
Aphra Behn, born in 1640, is considered one of the world's first-ever professional female playwrights. Give it up. As such, it makes sense that our local, female-focused theater company is giving Behn's Restoration-era comedy a considerable, yet loving, facelift. Busy director René Moreno adapted this new version from the original, setting the story of two women trapped in loveless, arranged marriages in sexy, swinging 1960s Londo, with a dozen actors playing some 20 characters. Moreno also guest-directs.
