About
If you find that The Illusionist has a '50s-era feel to it, there's a good reason for that. Originally penned by French filmmaker Jacques Tati in 1956, the script serves as a letter to his estranged daughter Helga, and it was finally brought to the silver screen in 2010 by director Sylvain Chomet and animator Laurent Kircher, the team behind 2003's The Triplets of Belleville.
