The mysterious El Gallo narrates the musical tale of Luisa and Matt, the children of neighboring fathers who erect a wall between their respective properties and pretend to feud in order to get their offspring to fall in love Romeo and Juliet/a plague on both your houses style. When the parental deception comes to light, the pair decide that their feelings were as manufactured as the circumstances that brought them about and they go their separate ways. Ofcourse, romance is never that easy, but as El Gallo says, “it is September— before a rainfall—a perfect time to be in love.”
