This one is for all you bedraggled parents out there. We’re betting that you’ve had a least one less than ideal trip to the doctor with your kids. The whining, the screaming, the crying, the kicking—we feel for you. So does Medical City Children’s Hospital, apparently, because it’s hosting a free teddy bear clinic. Here’s how it works: your child brings his or her favorite bear or doll to the “clinic,” and it will get a thorough medical examination. Children are welcome to use their imaginations in describing their toys’ symptoms. The aim here is to teach kids to experience hospitals as comfortable and nonthreatening places.
