Not to be outdone by the likes of Addison, Plano has arranged to put on its own festival celebrating the city’s history, culture, and food. This year’s event features tastings from more than 25 restaurants, a raffle for a $500 downtown shopping spree, face painting and other kids’ activities, live entertainbment, and a chili cookoff judged in part by Plano Mayor Phil Dyer. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Historic Downtown Plano Association.
