Denton's own Sarah Jaffe is still a relative newcomer, but if we know our local music scene like we think we do, she won't be an unknown for long. Prior to 2010, Jaffe's catalogue consisted of a single EP, but her first full-length album, Suburban Nature, was released last April to critical acclaim. She delivers her lyrics with a smooth, folksy croon, though not every song pulses along at a dawdling pace, as is the M.O. of many singer-songwriters. Plus, you'll be supporting local music. So there's that. We love "Clementine" and "Summer Begs."
