Football! Excuse our excitement, but we can't help but get a bit antsy waiting for the Red River Shootout to roll around. Sure, it's one of the most long-standing, intense rivalries between two of the top programs in college football. But also: fried food! The various vendors at the State Fair of Texas will fry up everything from corn dogs to beer, most of which we will assuredly consume no matter how many arteries we clog in the process. Follow that with an afternoon of football—even if you're not a fan of either team—and it's hard to see a downside.
