About
Théophile Steinlen’s Le Chat Noir might be a dorm room staple, but these sort of artistic posters—bright colors, stylized text, fun imagery—papered the streets of 19th century Paris to advertise everything from food products to Montmartre’s many after-hours cabarets. This particular exhibit will showcase masters of the lithograph such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vuillard, and, of course, Steinlen.
