When Chapel Hill’s Porter Robinson shows up for this particular concert, the teenage electronic sensation will still be a full two weeks from his 20th birthday, and yet he’s performed his varied take on high-energy dance music at festivals all over the globe. There is understandably scant biographical material on an artist who has yet to reach two decades. Instead, one finds extensive lists of complicated computer programs that Robinson uses to ply his craft. But therein lies a larger truth, about a technologically literate new generation that no longer has to wait on the world to be successful. Mat Zo supports.
