Night: Prints and Drawings From the Collection
It would not be unreasonable to call us night owls. Even more than that, we love the way skyscrapers look lit up against an inky black sky. No wonder we appreciate this exhibit devoted to nocturnes, or night scenes, is composed of works on paper from the museum’s permanent collection and depicts everything for the country to the big city. Artists such as Edward Hopper, Martin Lewis, and James McNeill Whistler offer examples of the range of techniques and style from the 19th century to post-World War II.
