We admit to a certain amount of fence sitting when it came to this alt-rock group from Louisville, KY. Their songs struck us as perfectly crafted for generic rom-com love scenes rather than mired in any sort of genuine emotion, and despite six studio albums, we resisted the temptation of their musical talents. But after a few moments alone with their absolutely lovely cover of Buddy Holly’s “True Love Ways,” we realized that it was time to clamber down and give these guys their due.
