The City of Fort Worth Human Relations Commission and the Fort Worth Library are sponsoring Movies That Matter in honor of Human Rights Day.

Fort Worth City Council member Joel Burns and Estrus Tucker of the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission will speak during an informal reception at 6:30 p.m. The screenings, which begin at 7:30 p.m., include:

  • Trevor, about a high school student who realizes he’s gay.
  • Crossing Arizona, which deals with illegal immigration.
  • 12 Stones, a film that documents Heifer International’s work with illiterate women in Nepal.
