Sam (Gerard Butler), an ex-biker tough guy, decides to make a trip to East Africa to help rebuild war-torn communities, he quickly discovers the situation is much more dire than he originally expected. In one community in particular, the Lord's Resistance Army recruits child soldiers before they reach their teens, and Sam quickly decides to eschew the advice of his colleagues and tackle the probem head on. He begins building an orphanage in the middle of the town, but soon realizes the only way to save the territory from destruction is to fight fire with fire.
