About
Before penning Disney classics like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, Alan Menken wrote a charming, sweet musical about a guy who works in a flower shop on the wrong side of town and his favorite sunshine-loving plant. And if you believed that, we have a bridge we'd like to sell you. Little Shop of Horrors spoofs the 1962 classic cult film of the same name, in which Seymour, a nerdy floral shop assistant, discovers a plant with a predilection for fresh, human blood. As the carnivorous plant grows, it takes on a life of its own, demanding more than Seymour really wants to give.
