About

This beloved children’s story is basically a cautionary tale about those who receive an inch and take a mile. It goes something like this: if you give a mouse a cookie, he’s going to want a glass of milk.  And once you give him a glass of milk, he’s going to want something else. And on and on until a devious little mouse has suckered you out of house and home. (Well, maybe not quite as sinister or bad as all that. After all, it’s appropriate for kids ages four and up). The play, based on the book by Laura Numeroff, follows the exasperated adventure of a young boy left at home alone by his mother and warned not to make a mess. But when he does, in fact, give a mouse a cookie, he’s in for a world of surprise.
