Winter hours are 9am-4pm. Prices go up March 1: $15 for ages 12 and above; $12 kids 11 – 3 and seniors 65 and above; free for ages 2 and younger and DZS members.

We've always wanted to take an African safari, but so far, our Sig-O hasn't ponied up for the trip. We're considering breaking up with him. But before we do that, we'll check out the Giants of the Savanna exhibit at the Dallas Zoo. Elephants, giraffes, impalas, zebras, ostrich, lions, warthogs, red river hogs, guinea fowl, and cheetahs will be on display in a habitat very close to their natural one. Interactive exhibits will help us learn all about the exotic species of animals. Maybe the BF is off the hook after all.
