Remember how stressful musical chairs used to be? You sauntered around in a circle, anxiously eyeing the [insert musical device here] and waiting for that horrible silence that set off a mad scramble for empty seats. And let's be honest: We weren't afraid to lay an elbow into someone's ribcage if it meant staying in the game.

Fortunately, that's all behind us. But if you're suddenly left with a longing for the games of your childhood, you can head to the Dallas Public ARTS Project's inaugural event, Get Your Toes Wet. No, you won't witness an actual game of musical chairs, but you will get to see five local artists participate in something that slightly resembles it. Suzie Brown, David Connolly, Bernie Diaz, Patrick Schneider, and Ryder Richards will all start their own improvised sketch before switching places in a round-robin style, with each artist getting a chance to add his/her own perspective to every drawing. A silent auction will follow during which you can bid on your favorite pieces. And the best part? You won't have to elbow anyone in the ribs. Unless, of course, they steal your seat.
