The Fort Worth Opera offers a mix of classic and contemporary works for an accessible deep dive into the grand spectacle. The acoustics of Bass Hall are perfect for amplifying dramatic tales of love, jealousy, betrayal, and heroism. On the main stage, catch Mozart's Così fan Tutte, the story of two young officers who go to great lengths to test the fidelity of their respective fiancées and Georges Bizet's Pearl Fishers, a lesser-known work when compared his beloved opera Carmen but one that still offers delightful music and a cautionary tale about two friends who love the same woman. For further proof that that scenario never ends well, the love triangle ends up obliterating a whole village. Meanwhile, don't miss the professional debut of With Blood, With Ink, a new opera that draws from the historical accounts of a 17th-century Mexican scholar and nun forced to renounce her life's work. That will run in the McDavid Studio space.
