Historians believe El Greco’s Pentecost was part of a massive altarpiece created for a seminary in Madrid. We believe it’s spectacular to have this piece on display in our city. As part of its three-year partnership with the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Meadows Museum gets to display this famous work, which depicts the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles 50 days after Christ’s resurrection.
