The DMA draws from its permanent collection and more recent, as-yet-unseen acquisitions for this exhibit featuring only contemporary female artists from the past 50 years. The curators purposefully highlight the fact that gender is the only thing these talented women have in common, and pose the age-old question: does an artist’s sex make a difference? Look for pieces by Lee Krasner, Marlo Pascual, and Japanese artist Tsuruko Yamazaki.
