About
The title of the artist’s exhibit sums it up pretty well. Bates will feature various still life compositions and paintings, ranging from historic buildings in Galveston to fresh oleander flowers in a white vase. There will also be bronze sculptures of Venus figures, skulls, and owls. Bates’ work has been featured in permanent collections of more than 40 galleries and museums, including a biggie: the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
