Journalist Daniel Silva took what he learned from the subterfuge he witnessed while covering the bloody Iran/Iraq conflict of the 1980s, and turned it into his debut novel, 1996’s Unlikely Spy. He has had a rewarding career in the spy genre ever since, and attendees should be especially interested in his newest book, The Heist. The story focuses on a Caravaggio getting snatched, something sure to send chills down the spine of any due-paying museum member.
