VideoFest kicks off with a documentary about Nancy Myers, AKA Tammi True, PTA mom and the headlining burlesque act at Jack Ruby's swanky Carousel Club. Ruby owned a few striptease joints. He's also the man who shot Lee Harvey Oswald, effectively murdering Myers' peaceful double life. Before the screening catch the Ruby Review, a prominent burlesque troupe, and stick around after for a Q&A with Myers herself. For homework, read our story in D Magazine about why Dallas burlesque owes Tammi True a debt. Wear your Mad Men-inspired best.
