This festival, which has been coming to a theater near you since 1986, showcases "fiercely independent, imaginative, unusual, provocative and sometimes description-defying electronic media." And if that doesn't sell you on it, consider this: past special guests have included Terry Gilliam (director of Time Bandits, Brazil, and 12 Monkeys) and Paul Reubens, so you know you'll be in interesting company. This year's festival will feature such films as The Devil's Box: The Rise of Texas-Style Fiddling, Erasing David, a movie about government surveillance, and Confessions of a Superhero, a documentary about four people who make their living by playing superheros on Hollywood Boulevard.
