The Dallas Film Society teams up with Southern Methodist University’s Division of Film & Media Arts to offers summer film camps for ages 14-18. The three two-day workshops will be filled with plenty of hands-on fun designed to teach and inspire. Registration deadline is June 10. 

July 9-10: Storytelling for the Screen

Learn to develop sensational scripts in this workshop by brainstorming ideas, organizing scenes, and learning how to write using screenplay format.

July 11-12: Production Boot Camp

Students will learn the process of filmmaking, including the various techniques and languages it takes to create a film. Learn how to storyboard shoot, light, record, and direct a film.

July 15 -16: Clowning for the Camera

Learn how famous silent movie actors crafted their characters and flourished in creating audiences all over the world. Students study face and body movements, then create their own silent film.
