Oh, man. Cyndi Lauper is coming to town. We have loved her since she recorded the Official Teenage Girls Anthem, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” The nights we spent singing that song at age 13 would probably have been better spent studying algebra, but there is nothing fun about algebraic equations. (We still know all the words, so that’s something, right?) Her latest CD is called Memphis Blues, and she collaborated with several famous blues musicians to make it. Listen for “Early in the Morning,” as well as old favorites like “Time After Time” and “She Bop.”
