We know a lot of people who love bacon, but Stephen Lapthisophon is the only guy we’ve met who uses nature’s sweetest meat to make artwork. For coffee, seasonal fruit, root vegetables, and “Selected Poems," the Dallas-based artist mixes food with other unremarkable remnants of daily life to break down the barriers between art and the everyday. Join the artist at 7:30 p.m. on December 5 at the Horchow Auditorium for a free lecture about the process of identity formation through mark-making and the evolution of his work.
