When it comes to Eels, there's one name you need to know: E. It's the moniker assumed onstage by 48-year-old Mark Oliver Everett, the lead singer, guitarist, keyboardist, occasional drummer, and only constant member of the band. For the last 15 years, Everett has produced scratchy-voiced, lo-fi tracks that have cropped up in mainstream media a surprising amount of times, from the old-school procedural Homicide: Life on the Street to the soundtrack of Shrek. The Submarines will open.

The Granada is also using this as an opportunity to celebrate their new air conditioning unit, which pumps out 100 tons of cool air instead of just 50. We like the sound of this, considering how much we sweated at our last concert and also because we hear Santa and his elves will take a break from very important doings up north to pass out presents.
