Chris Verene’s second exhibit at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery showcases images from his Family project, a collection chronicling relatives and friends from his hometown, Galesburg, Ill. It also includes new work from his recently released book, FAMILY. Most of the photos include handwritten captions such as those you’d find in a family photo album.
