About
We love a good block party. We remember when we were growing up mom would make a casserole and dad would anger the neighbors with his liberal rhetoric. Ah, the good old days. We're into making our own memories at this event, which benefits Parkland Hospital's Burn Center. Thirty-one teams of two will compete in a "Chefs on Fire" grilling competition, concessions from local spots will be provided, fire safety tips will be dispensed, and much more. Oh, about that grilling competition: each team comprises one professional chef and one local firefighter. This we've got to see. A VIP Party will be held after the block party, featuring the championship cook-off, music, drinks, and food from the Epicurean World Master Chefs Society.
