About
Liz Mikel, aka Brian "Smash" Williams' mother on Friday Night Lights, is a busy lady. She's a member of the Dallas Theatre Center's acting company, rehearsing for the summer production The Wiz, and yet she still finds the time to sing her heart out every Monday night. She pays tribute to different blues performers, and occasionally brings along a special guest (on June 27, it'll be local actor/director/musician Akin Babatundé).
