About
This full-scale exhibition is a partnership between the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Kimbell Art Museum, and features various works by Italian master Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Bernini was behind the Baroque era in Rome, creating lasting sculptures that helped to redefine the city. His smaller clay models were the starting point for these iconic works of art and 49 of his highly coveted pieces will be on display. The exhibit will also feature more than 20 of his drawings alongside in-depth analysis of Bernini’s artistic process and style.
