About
After an exhausting cross-country bike ride, 21-year-old Leo finds himself in Manhattan and on his grandmother's doorstep. The 91-year-old Vera Joseph, a character based on playwright Amy Herzog's own grandmother, Leepee Joseph, whose likeness has also appeared in Herzog's other play After the Revolution, takes him in. The two become roomies just long enough to drive each other nuts and reach an understanding—about life, the indiginities conferred upon the living as they age, and death.
