Reality Steve

The ultimate Bachelor/ette know-it-all may not have been christened “Reality Steve,” but that’s how millions of fans know him. They flock to his website every week to find out if his predictions come true. Guess what? They do.

Steve hails from Orange County, California, and he’s always loved watching television. “But I never thought I would get into writing about it and caring about it,” he laughs.

The whole thing started innocently enough, in 2003, with a little program called Joe Millionaire. “Everything essentially started with an e-mail,” he says. “I e-mailed my friends a recap every Tuesday morning, and they started forwarding it on to their friends.” It grew from there, and a few years later he launched his website and he’s become famous—or infamous, depending on whom you talk to—for his Bachelor spoilers. Steve watches lots of other programs, too, including Survivor, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars .

So how does the Frisco-based writer keep track of it all? “I work from home, and I don’t have an 8-to-5 desk job,” he says. And don’t underestimate the greatness of the DVR. “It’s been a godsend. It’s the best invention ever.”
