The city's essential experiences. You're not a true local until you've done them all.
Tour the Sixth Floor Museum
No one is going to forget that JFK was assassinated in Dallas. No matter what theory of the crime you believe, conspiracy or otherwise, nothing will change the essential fact that it happened in our downtown. So just go ahead and confront it. The Sixth Floor Museum is one of the finest narrowly focused museums in the country, worth the trip on its merits alone. If you have time, mill around Dealey Plaza, sink a little deeper into that memory. (If you have a lot of time, drive over the bridge to Oak Cliff and visit the Texas Theatre, where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested. Make a day of it.)  Photography by Walt Sisco, photographer/Courtesy The Dallas Morning News
