Get Al Biernat to remember your name

Al Biernat must have been a carnie in another life, except instead of guessing your weight he took one look at you and repeated your name. The ubiquitous Biernat has the eyes of an eagle and a photographic memory. If you’ve eaten in his restaurant once, chances are better than good he will not only remember your name, he’ll ask you if you still enjoy your dry-aged Kansas City strip cooked medium rare plus. His talent is the key to his success. Perhaps that is why his restaurant draws the bold-faced names as well as the couple who dines there once a year.  Photography by Wade Griffith
