Eat a steak at Dunston's (But only if Linda serves it)

Some nights it’s easier to get a seat in the bustling dining room at Al Biernat’s than to secure a spot in the back room at Dunston’s on West Lovers Lane. The best dining time is Monday night when the country clubs are closed. The low-lit space is where you’ll find Linda, our favorite server in town. She’ll try to convince you to order rib-eye, but we stick with our bacon-wrapped 6-ounce tenderloin. If the dining room is full, grab a stool at the bar. It’s hip and trendy, if your head’s stuck in the early ’70s.  Photography by Kevin Marple
