Eat a cinnamon roll at Mecca
Sticky buns might be the latest trend in sweet breakfast treats, but we remain loyal to the giant house-made cinnamon rolls at Mecca. Why? Because the restaurant’s been serving them since 1938. The thick cakes are baked in long sheet pans and, once slightly cooled, they are covered with a generous layer of sweet cream cheese icing. Unlike the chicer little buns sold around town, this one requires a knife and fork and at least three cups of coffee to finish off. That’s the way we do it in Dallas.
