What are your favorite restaurants in Dallas?
I love a good burger. Love Shack in Fort Worth, Kincaid's, and the Twisted Root in Dallas are great.
The Cadillac Ranch is one of my faves. The head chef is the man. They try to get Texas ingredients for all their dishes, and they make a great chicken-and-waffles dish.
Café Brazil is never a bad choice any time of day.
Eatzi's is always greatness. You can't go wrong there.
What are your favorite shops in Dallas?
The Man's Shop in Arlington has some great shoes I've been wearing these days. OluKai is the brand, and these suckers are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Other than that, I try not to shop too much unless it's for the wife. She's big on the lululemon store at the NorthPark Center. That is always a buy come birthdays and Christmas.
What are your favorite hangouts in Dallas?
I am always for hanging out at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. I love getting a good spot at the Silks Dining Room and spending the day betting the ponies, and I love the track because it is the most diverse sporting event in America.
You will see the rich and blue collar at Lone Star Park. Some sit in suites, others just enjoy standing in the infield. All genders, races, and religions come to get lucky at the track.
What are your favorite venues in Dallas? The Winspear Opera House and the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie are two of my favorite places to enjoy a good concert. I was at Verizon to see Charlie Wilson in April.
