What are your favorite restaurants in Dallas?

One place I love to visit when I go back to Dallas is Sweet Basil at Trinity Mills and Midway. I used to go here every Saturday after ballet class. They have the most incredible cream of mushroom soup, I also recommend the Chicken Sweet Basil, and Sofia Loren salad. It's family owned, which makes for a quaint atmosphere. For Thai food I love Mango. There's a location on Lovers Lane or on Park in Plano. Best chicken fried rice you will ever devour. My all-time favorite Dallas area restaurant is an amazing spot called Bin 303, located in my hometown, Rockwall. They have the absolute best hamburger you will ever eat—everything here is the best! It's a must eat!

What are your favorite shops in Dallas?

I haven't lived in Dallas for a while, but I always love to shop in the Cotton Island carrying fun and trendy items.

What are your favorite hangouts in Dallas?

When I get to go to Dallas, I love spending time in Highland Park. Though I don't come from old money myself, it's where I like to go to feel like a rich kid. Highland Park Village has amazing shopping, even though I can't afford anything, but it's dreamy. There's also a Celebrity Bakery there, which is still my favorite sweet shop ever! Last time I visited Dallas, my sister and I went to Deep Ellum. They've started to build it back up again with trendy bars and live music. My kind of scene. The Katy Trail Ice House is a super fun time for young adults to party. It's a giant half indoor, half outdoor bar, with plenty of seating and TV screens. It has a very 'Austin' feel.

What are your favorite entertainment venues in Dallas?

I was usually always the one doing the entertaining when I lived in Dallas. I recommend the Morton Meyerson Symphony Center. I used to play with the Dallas Youth Orchestra there. It's a great place if you're looking for sophisticated entertainment. If you're looking for a good ole' swingin' time, Southern Junction in Rockwall is a classic spot for dancing, drinking, and live country music. If dancing isn't your style, check out the Grapevine Opry. I used to perform here as well. The opry boasts one of the most talented live bands in the country, and performers who frequently bring the crowd to its feet. There's a show every Saturday night at the Palace Theater on Main Street in Grapevine.
